I started going to Dr. Hoehn ten months into our fertility journey. We had suffered a miscarriage and then didn't have any luck getting pregnant after that. I knew at the 12-month mark doctors would start testing us to rule out any issues and then suggest IUI and/or IVF. I heard about fertility acupuncture on a podcast and loved the idea of working on my fertility more holistically. I Googled fertility acupuncture in Los Angeles and after some research found Mighty River Wellness which was less than one mile from my house. I felt that was a sign!

Dr. Hoehn had great reviews and came highly recommended. The rest is history. From my very first appointment I felt understood, supported, hopeful and empowered. I had already taken some dietary steps on my own but Dr. Hoehn helped me clean up my gut. I thought I was making healthy choices but it turns out some of the vegetables I was eating daily were literally making me sick. Once I eliminated those, I saw results and felt better within two weeks. We worked on stress management and mindset together! I started taking supplements on top of my pre-natal vitamins and drinking her herbal formulas. I enjoyed BBT charting and learning more about my cycle. Two months after starting with Dr. Hoehn I was able to conceive naturally. I couldn't recommend Mighty River Wellness more. I went to Dr. Hoehn after years of irregular menstrual cycles and being consistently stressed and anxious, and after three years of chronic foot pain stemming from an untreated fracture. I was brand new to acupuncture and she was great about explaining the treatments, keeping the mood down to earth, answering my questions, and setting realistic expectations (and gently reminding me of them whenever I started to stress about not getting overnight results).

Through a combination of consistent treatments and a supplement regimen, we were able to get my menstrual cycles on track within a few months and I've noticed a significant decline in my stress levels. She is also quick to suggest outside resources that might work in tandem with the acupuncture treatments, to quicken and/or magnify the results.

She referred me to a wonderful chiropractor a month or so into our treatments, and the two of them have been working together to treat my foot pain. She was no-nonsense about addressing my ailments right from the start, without ever being overbearing or inflexible. If you'd like to work with someone you can talk honestly with, who listens and responds rather than blindly prescribing, I highly recommend Dr. Hoehn.

I found Mighty River Wellness on Yelp and am so beyond grateful I did. Not only does Dr. Hoehn specialize in fertility but gastrointestinal issues as well, which is just what I needed.

I was feeling so hopeless after my doctors couldn't figure out what was causing my pain, but after seeing Dr. Hoehn almost weekly for two months I am so happy to say my pain has significantly reduced. My cycles were also so irregular following my miscarriage and after weekly acupuncture and Chinese herbs tailored to where I'm at, my cycle is finally regulating itself.
