I started going to Dr. Hoehn ten months into our fertility journey. We had suffered a miscarriage and then didn't have any luck getting pregnant after that. I knew at the 12-month mark doctors would start testing us to rule out any issues and then suggest IUI and/or IVF. I heard about fertility acupuncture on a podcast and loved the idea of working on my fertility more holistically. I Googled fertility acupuncture in Los Angeles and after some research found Mighty River Wellness which was less than one mile from my house. I felt that was a sign!

Dr. Hoehn had great reviews and came highly recommended. The rest is history. From my very first appointment I felt understood, supported, hopeful and empowered. I had already taken some dietary steps on my own but Dr. Hoehn helped me clean up my gut. I thought I was making healthy choices but it turns out some of the vegetables I was eating daily were literally making me sick. Once I eliminated those, I saw results and felt better within two weeks. We worked on stress management and mindset together! I started taking supplements on top of my pre-natal vitamins and drinking her herbal formulas. I enjoyed BBT charting and learning more about my cycle. Two months after starting with Dr. Hoehn I was able to conceive naturally. I couldn't recommend Mighty River Wellness more. They were my people during one of the most challenging times of my life and because of them my dream of becoming a mom is coming true!

I went to Dr. Hoehn after years of irregular menstrual cycles and being consistently stressed and anxious, and after three years of chronic foot pain stemming from an untreated fracture. I was brand new to acupuncture and she was great about explaining the treatments, keeping the mood down to earth, answering my questions, and setting realistic expectations (and gently reminding me of them whenever I started to stress about not getting overnight results).

Through a combination of consistent treatments and a supplement regimen, we were able to get my menstrual cycles on track within a few months and I've noticed a significant decline in my stress levels. She is also quick to suggest outside resources that might work in tandem with the acupuncture treatments, to quicken and/or magnify the results.

She referred me to a wonderful chiropractor a month or so into our treatments, and the two of them have been working together to treat my foot pain. She was no-nonsense about addressing my ailments right from the start, without ever being overbearing or inflexible. If you'd like to work with someone you can talk honestly with, who listens and responds rather than blindly prescribing, I highly recommend Dr. Hoehn.

After miscarrying my first pregnancy, finding out I had small liver hemangioma, and seeing several doctors who couldn't diagnose my severe upper right abdominal pain, I decided to look into acupuncture after reading about the benefits it could have on fertility and overall wellbeing. I found Mighty River Wellness on Yelp and am so beyond grateful I did. Not only does Dr. Hoehn specialize in fertility but gastrointestinal issues as well, which is just what I needed.

I was feeling so hopeless after my doctors couldn't figure out what was causing my pain, but after seeing Dr. Hoehn almost weekly for two months I am so happy to say my pain has significantly reduced. My cycles were also so irregular following my miscarriage and after weekly acupuncture and Chinese herbs tailored to where I'm at, my cycle is finally regulating itself. Dr. Hoehn is so knowledgeable, kind and understanding. I finally felt like I was really being listened to and given non-invasive options and a holistic plan rather than just more MRIs/CT scans and medicines.

Beyond acupuncture and herbs, Dr. Hoehn also gives such great advice that is tailored to your needs- recommendations on herbal teas, vitamins, diet adjustments, and essential oils. I've seen Dr. Hoehn Hoehn off and on for a year. I most appreciate her knowledge, skill, understanding, and experience. Her approach is patient and well thought out. She's a great listener. I have a pinched nerves in my lower back. Ten minutes into the treatment with acupuncture and the pain is gone, the swelling around the discs is reduced, and I can get back into physical therapy. Without the treatments, physical therapy is unthinkable. I also greatly appreciate her willingness to cooperate with my insurance. Makes the whole process easy.

Dr. Hoehn has been treating me for a few weeks and I have seen a great improvement for my back pain. We have done several types of treatments from acupuncture and cupping to home remedies that she has recommended. I would suggest seeing her on a regular basis if you have back or neck pain. It isn't an instant cure all. I have had undiagnosed back/neck pain for years. I feel better than I have in years and love her holistic approach. I was told by my general practitioner that I have soft tissue damage from a high speed impact car accident. I have been taking muscle relaxers and more for the past 5 years because of the unbearable pain without any change in my pain level. After a few treatments with Dr. Hoehn, I can move my neck and arms above my head without cringing pain. I would recommend her to anyone looking for relief. 5 stars all the way!

She put me at ease, and is so genuine, knowledgeable and compassionate. My anxiety has noticeably improved after four visits (and some prescribed at-home practices and remedies). The only downside to the swift improvement is needing less regular visits and not getting to chat with Dr. Hoehn each week. She's great company and a great healer. Highly recommended -- seriously!

What can I say about Dr. Hoehn and Mighty River Wellness? I went to Dr. Hoehn for fertility support because my husband and I were trying to get pregnant. She went above and beyond just acupuncture. She printed out basal body temperature charts, gave nutritional suggestions and was even a supportive ear when I was frustrated with personal problems. I saw Dr. Hoehn for almost a year for infertility and endometriosis related treatments - and I am now 25 weeks pregnant! I did end up having to do IVF, as the natural treatments unfortunately did not work for me, but I did see a great improvement in my endometriosis symptoms during the time we were trying naturally. I think Dr. Hoehn's greatest asset is her bedside manner - she is extremely intuitive and understanding, and over time became a good support as much as she was my fertility/pain acupuncturist. She is also extremely knowledgeable about fertility and inflammatory disorders. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat and I continue to see her occasionally for stress reduction and pregnancy symptoms!

I saw Dr. Hoehn for acupuncture when a friend recommended her for hormone balancing. I'm trying to get pregnant within the next year so optimizing my fertility was my main goal. Dr. Hoehn is so amazing!!!!!!! I struggled with Digestive disorder (SIBO) for years and my gastroenterologist just recommended medication that will mask my symptoms but not heal the root of the problem. I was in and out the emergency room with serious digestive problems leading to other mental health issues. Dr. Hoehn made me feel heard and had some testing done do see exactly what was going on. She put me on a diet and gave me some natural herbs and I felt so much better in a matter of weeks. She has taught me what my body needs and how to have a better relationship with food. It is such a cute and charming place in Toluca Lake and she has the cutest dog named Clyde. I am so relaxed every time I come in for treatment.

Dr. Hoehn worked with both my husband and I leading up to our fourth IVF retrieval.
